In dogs and cats, more than 50 % of the tooth is below the gumline. More importantly, most dental pathology occurs below the gumline, where we cannot see it without advanced imaging. In addition to digital dental radiographs, we offer Cone Beam CT, a technology that allows us to see a 360-degree view of your pet’s jaw, teeth, temporomandibular joints, inner and middle ear, and nasal cavity. Intraoral dental radiography and Cone Beam CT are essential for a complete dental examination.
